to announce that the retail outlet located at Shop B & C of Radio City on
505 Hennessy Road, Causeway Bay, was under expansion. The expanded retail outlet,
with double existing total floor area to 1,655 square feet, will be re-opened
on 31 July 2004. The Group believes the retail outlet upon expansion will attract
more customers and therefore increase its market share in gold and jewellery
industry in Hong Kong.
Mr. Wong Wai Sheung,
Chairman and Chief Executive of the Group said, ¡§Causeway Bay is all time
a popular shopping district. Since the retail outlet located
at the Radio City in Causeway Bay is near MTR station and large shopping mall
with high level of pedestrian flow, the outlet has always been crowded with
customers. With the reviving Hong Kong economy, as well as the rapid expansion
of Mainland individual travel scheme and group tour, there will be a surge
in customers for buying gold and jewellery. In order to grasp this opportunity,
the Group expanded its retail outlet located at the ground floor of Radio City
in Causeway Bay, with an aim to provide more varieties of fashionable and innovative
jewellery and offer spacious and comfortable environment for customers to enjoy
while shopping.¡¨
In line with the fashionable
and innovative image of the Group¡¦s jewellery products, the Group pays a
lot of effort in designing this retail outlet. All
the furnishings are designed by professional designers and the shop is decorated
with some innovative ornaments. Together with the Group¡¦s most recent-launch
gold and jewellery products, the expanded retail outlet will give customers
a refresh feeling.
In addition, the Group believes that the expansion will bring substantial
revenue to the Group, attract more mainland and overseas customers and further
enhance Luk Fook to become an international brand name.
