Mr. Wong Wai Sheung, Chairman and Chief Executive of the Group said, ¡§The
Group chose to open its retail outlet at the Hong Kong International Airport
because of its favorable geographical location. As one of the busiest airports
in the world, Hong Kong International Airport¡¦s annual passenger capacity
reaches 45 million. The passenger terminal has long been regarded as the place,
which
captures international brand name products. Together with the free trolleys
provided in the Restricted Area for shopping, many tourists will grasp the
opportunity to shop while waiting on board. The Group believes that airport
retail outlet would realize the Group¡¦s globalization strategy, facilitate
the Group to further promote its brand name, enhance its brand name awareness
and therefore attract more tourists to visit.¡¨
Mr. Wong continued, ¡§As per latest estimation, an expected 20 million
visitors will visit Hong Kong this year, of which more than half are from
the mainland,
will pass through the airport. Since gold and jewellery are all time favorite
shopping items of mainland tourists, together with favorable retail outlet
location which is near the gateway of many Asian flights with high flow
of mainland tourists, the Group believes that this retail outlet can attract
more mainland tourists to buy its jewellery products and therefore expand
the Group¡¦s sales market. ¡§
