opens 8 Licensee shops in golden week

The well-known Hong
Kong gold and jewellery retailer and wholesaler, Luk Fook Holdings (International)
Limited (¡§Luk Fook¡¨/¡§the Group¡¨) (SEHK Code: 590) announces today to open
8 licensee shops in several major cities of the Guangdong province for four
consecutive days starting from 1 October with an objective of achieving a marvelous
business performance in the Golden Week.
Mr. Wong Wai Sheung, Chairman and
Chief Executive of the Group said, ¡§The continuous economic growth in PRC
boosts the demand for high-end consumer products
like gold accessories and diamonds. The Group has been actively developing
the PRC market for years and has established more than 119 licensee shops in
the country. With these licensee shops, the Group could further promote the

The ribbon-cutting ceremonies for
the 8 licensee shops will be consecutively held in Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Guangzhou
and Foshan from 1 to 4 October. Miss
Yeung Po Ling, the Group¡¦s non-executive director and the winner of Miss Hong
Kong, will be the honorable guest of these ceremonies. This event signified
the Group¡¦s further expansion of the distribution network in the PRC market.
In addition, the results of the
3rd Tahitian Pearl Trophy were unveiled on 21st September. The contest was
divided into twelve sections with the theme
of ¡§Watermark¡¨. The Group¡¦s necklace ¡§Dragon¡¨ won the Champion in the
section of the PRC region. An exquisite beauty of Tahitian Pearl was showcased
by the
ingenious creativity of the Group¡¦s designers.
Combining the innovative design and
brilliant craftsmanship, the Group won numerous awards in ¡§the 6th Buyers¡¦
Favorite Jewelry Design Competition ¡¨organized by
Hong Kong Jewelry Manufacturers' Association. Awarded pieces included ¡§Sand
in Funnel¡¨, ¡§Spiral¡¨, ¡§Night Star¡¨, ¡§Link¡¨ , ¡§Wishing Tree¡¨ and ¡§Fire
of diamond¡¨.
