appointed to be the designated Sponsor for the crown and jewellery of the
Miss Hong Kong Pageant for the eighth consecutive year, demonstrating the
position and reputation of Luk Fook in the Hong Kong community. As Miss Hong
Kong Pageant is an annual anticipated event of this city, the Group organized
the Crown & Jewellery Try On Show, to offer an opportunity for this year¡¦s
pageant candidates to exhibit their elegance & Charisma.
The Chief Executive
of the Group, Mr. Wong Wai Sheung said, ¡§We are delighted to be the designated
Sponsor for the crown and jewellery of Miss Hong Kong
Pageant for the eighth consecutive year. Miss Hong Kong is not only an ambassador
of Hong Kong, she is also an icon of oriental feminine beauty. The Group has
specially established a production team to pool together our expertise in
design, sketch and production, in order to produce a crown with a value exceeding
HK$1.6 million and series of jewellery for this grand occasion. The exquisite
design and brilliant craftsmanship will certainly add excitement to the contest.¡¨
In order to
highlight the event, the Group has invited 20 candidates of 2005 Miss
Hong Kong pageant to the Jewellery Try-On Show at the Group¡¦s retail
shop at Jordan, Hong Kong with the presence of the esteem senior management
of the Group. The Try-On Show was filled with excitement when the candidates
tried on the jewellery. To match up with the contest theme of ¡§Beauty from
Heart¡¨, a whole new series of jewellery was designed especially for the contest
which fully expresses the glamour of the candidates. In addition, the winning
jewellery for the first and second runners-up of the contest were shown in
the Try-On Show. Two candidates were randomly drawn to try on the winning
pieces, enabling them to taste the experience of being Miss Hong Kong.
