ANNOUNCES ITS IN-HOUSE DESIGN OBTAINING
AN INTERNATIONAL HONOR OF THE PLATINUM GUILD INTERNATIONAL
The leading
gold and jewellery retailer in Hong Kong, Luk Fook Holdings (International)
Limited (¡§Luk Fook¡¨ / the ¡§Group¡¨) (Stock Code: 590) proudly
announce that its in-house design ¡§Jiang¡¨ has been awarded an international
honour by the Platinum Guild International (PGI). As the first Chinese designer
ever obtained such honour, it is not only a glory to Luk Fook, but also the
whole Chinese community.
Chief Executive of
the Group, Mr. Wong Wai Sheung said, ¡§Luk Fook is very proud and delighted
to receive an international honor again. Even though we
have received numerous awards in international design commendations, this
prestigious honor is definitely a recognition of our jewellery design capability
and it proves that our designs have surpassed the international standards.¡¨
Products designed
by Luk Fook¡¦s professional jewellery design team have been awarded with
numerous medals and honours. The Group obtained over 90 awards
in previous years, of which 20 local and international awards were received
in 2004. In which, three awards were obtained in the International Design
Competition for Trendy Jadeite Jewellery, one award for the DTC ¡§Diamond:
Nature¡¦s Miracle¡¨ International Design Competition and two ¡§Best of Show¡¨
Award in the Gold Jewellery Design Competition. It is awarded the ¡§Best of
the Best¡¨ Award in the Brooch category and merit award in the Ring Category.
In addition, it is the winner of the international and district championship
in the Tahitian Pearl Trophy 2003 and Hong Kong Jewellery Design Competition
and Buyers¡¦ Favourite Jewellery Design Competition. In 2005, the Group obtained
awards in the International South Sea Pearl Jewellery Design Competition and
Hong Kong Jewellery Design Competition. Together with the achievement brought
by ¡§Jiang¡¨, it demonstrates that Luk Fook has an excellent design capability
and the awards enhance the Group¡¦s profile, reputation and recognition in
the market.
Luk Fook¡¦s
in-house designer obtaining such an international honor demonstrates Luk
Fook¡¦s strong grasp of the international jewellery trend. The honor not
only represents recognition from international jewellery industry towards
