Luk Fook Holdings (International) Limited (¡§Luk Fook Group¡¨/ the ¡§Group¡¨) (SEHK code: 590) was appointed again to be the designated sponsor for the crown and jewellery of the Miss Asia Pageant in 2005, demonstrating Luk Fook is not only popular and renown within the Hong Kong community, but also the whole Asian region. The Group specially organized the Crown & Jewellery Try-on Show for the international Miss Asia Pageant, thereby offering an opportunity for this year's pageant candidates to exhibit their glamour and elegance.
Mr. Wong Wai Sheung, The Chief Executive of the Group stated, ¡§We are delighted to be the designated sponsor for the crown and jewellery of the Miss Asia Pageant once again. The pageant gathers together beautiful representatives from different regions of Asia and is an international attention of the region. The Group chooses the newly renovated Luk Fook Jewellery branch at Sheung Shui as the venue of the jewellery try-on show, as its updated modern image well represents the contemporary charisma of Miss Asia. In addition, an experienced team was specially established to design, sketch and produce the precious jewellery sets for the winners and the winner's crown, with a value exceeding HK$1. 4 million .¡¨
In order to highlight the event, 18 candidates of 2005 Miss Asia P Pageant ageant were invited to the Jewellery Try-on Ceremony Show at the Group's retail shop at Sheung Shui, New Territories, with the presence of the esteem senior management of the Group to host the event. A whole new series of jewellery were designed to complement the contest theme ¡§Glamorous, Beauty, Blossoming in Asia¡¨. The candidates were excited with the opportunity to try on the beautiful, valuable jewellery.
At the try-on show, 3 candidates were randomly drawn to try on the winning pieces, including the gold diamond crown and the jewellery sets for the first and second runner s- up of the contest, enabling them to taste the experience of being Miss Asia.
