LUK FOOK HOLDINGS ANNOUNCES
THE GRAND OPENING OF NEW SHOP IN NATHAN CENTRE, MONGKOK
(Hong Kong, 9 August 2006) ----- Luk Fook Holdings (International) Limited (¡§Luk Fook¡¨ / the ¡§Group¡¨) (Stock Code: 0590), the leading gold and jewellery retailer in Hong Kong, proudly announced that its new shop located at Shop G1-G2 and G13, G/F, Nathan Centre, 580G-K Nathan Road, Mongkok, Kowloon has opened on 8th August, 2006.
Mr. Wong Wai Sheung, Chief Executive of the Group, said, ¡§With Hong Kong¡¦s Economy turning better, consumers¡¦ purchasing appetite generally improved. Together with the benefits brought by the sales to individual travelers from the PRC, we are very optimistic towards the retail business of Hong Kong. Meanwhile, in view of the good business performance in our Mongkok branches, we decided to open a new shop in the region to cope with customers¡¦ demand. ¡¨
The new shop is the Group¡¦s 7th branch at Nathan Road. It has a floor area of 1,800 square feet. Decoration of the shop will adopt Luk Fook¡¦s new magnificent and luxurious image design.
Besides, in order to match up with the new trendy and splendid brand image of Luk Fook, the Group has put forward a series of innovative projects in renovating the Group¡¦s branches to create a chic and elegant new image. Black steel and brown are the theme colour of the new image shop. Lamplights and black steel used on the shop sign at the entrance are used to create a bright and splendid atmosphere. Furthermore, the proportion of glasses displayed in the shop has relatively increased to give the shop a more open and spacious view. The new image has received great appreciation from customers since its launch. It proved that the direction of the new brand image is on the right track.
