THE GRAND OPENING OF NEW SHOP IN SHATIN
(Hong Kong, 8 November 2006) ------ Luk Fook Holdings (International) Limited (¡§Luk Fook¡¨ / the ¡§Group¡¨) (Stock Code: 0590), the leading gold and jewellery retailer in Hong Kong, proudly announced that its new shop located at Shop 46A, Shatin Plaza, Shatin, N.T. will be opened tomorrow.
Mr. Wong Wai Sheung, Chief Executive of the Group, said, ¡§Following the opening of the Mongkok branch at Nathan Road, Mongkok in August this year, I am glad that our Group opens another new branch within 3 months. Hong Kong¡¦s economy as a whole is in good shape. Citizens have strong shopping desires and are also willing to spend money on jewellery in general. As the location is a hot and popular shopping spot, we chose to have another new shop set up there in Shatin.¡¨
Luk Fook Group currently has a total of over 260 retail outlets in Hong Kong, Macau, U.S., Canada and the PRC. Apart from opening new shops, in order to facilitate the Group¡¦s business, the Group also actively promotes its business by, for example, launching TV commercials featuring ¡§Variety¡¨ and placing newspaper advertisements so as to enhance its brand image.
