Luk Fook Holdings Announces
Ranked First in Brand Cognition of HK Jewellery Brands
among Mainland Consumers
(Hong Kong, 10 November 2006) ------ Luk Fook Holdings (International) Limited (¡§Luk Fook¡¨ / the ¡§Group¡¨) (Stock Code: 0590), the leading gold and jewellery retailer in Hong Kong, proudly announced that the Group gained most votes from PRC consumers in terms of brand cognition among Hong Kong jewellery brands in a survey conducted by a PRC firm appointed by Just Events Limited and China Enterprise Reputation and Creditability Association (Overseas).
Mr. Wong Wai Sheung, Chief Executive of the Group, said, ¡§The survey results shows that the brand building strategies of Luk Fook Jewellery in the PRC have been very successful. The Group also takes a leading position in the industry. Therefore, we will continue to expand in the PRC market by enlarging the sales network there. ¡¨
The survey was carried out at the end of October . It has gathered the opinions of citizens from Beijing , Shanghai and Guangzhou . The results reflected that Luk Fook received the majority of votes (Refer to table 1) and ranked first among Hong Kong jewellery brands. Besides, the Group also attained other relevant awards during the year, for example, ¡§The Most Favourable Brands of the Nation 2006¡¨ , ¡§PRC Consumers' Most Favourable Hong Kong Brands 2006¡¨ and ¡§My Favourite Top Ten Brands of Hong Kong¡¨, etc.
