Giving Beneficent Support to 2006/2007 Walks for Millions
In order to fulfill the corporate social responsibility and to promote the strategic partnership between the social service and the business sectors, Luk Fook Group enthuses over community caring with great involvement and contributions. Over 100 members of the Group joined the 2006/2007 Walks for Millions organized by the Community Chest to show its continuous support to the charity. Mr. Danny Wong, Operations Manager of the Group, presented the cheque to the Community Chest at the Cheque Presentation Ceremony.
Walks for Millions is the flagship fund raising event of The Community Chest. Since its debut in 1971, 150 walks have been organized with over 2.8 million participants and raised over HK$4.8 billion for the Chest. Elderly service is one of the major allocations of the fund. Continuous improvement of elderly service is the ultimate goal of the Chest.
